ORC 2015 High Point Program
We are doing things a little differently this year to allow ALL of our students the chance to compete for year-end prizes at a variety of shows. This will give each rider the opportunity to ride a variety of horses and not commit to one horse for the entire year. This also allows students to try several different disciplines throughout the year.
We will be participating in shows put on by the following Show Circuits.
• ETI Corral 118...
• AHASFV
• ETI Corral 38
• Various Misc. Shows (TBD)
Rules:
• Student must be a regular student of Oakridge Riding Club
• No minimum amount of shows required
• High Point Enrollment fee of $50/rider. This fee goes towards the purchase of awards at the end of the year. Prizes to be announced at end of year.
• Points follow the rider, may enter on any horse.
• Points as follows: 1st place =6pts, 2nd = 5pts, 3rd =4pts, 4th = 3pts, 5th =2pts, 6th = 1pt. No placing earns ½ pt. Points ARE NOT based on number of class entries (gets too complicated)
• Riders who lease or own horses will have priority to choose their horse to show.
• Horses will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis at the trainer’s discretion. Student must submit 3 horse choices (1st, 2nd and 3rd choice) prior to each show. Student may not ride same horse in every show. Horses may also be chosen based upon drawing names. Most riders will share their horse with another rider.
• Walk-Trotters may move to regular divisions as they progress during the year, however they may not return to walk-trot. Points for each student riding in different divisions will remain in the division points were earned in.
